The UNT Student Money Management Center (SMMC) peer mentors were the only student mentors invited to facilitate two sessions at this year’s Texas Association of Collegiate Financial Education Professionals (TACFEP) State Symposium in Round Rock, TX, on May 22 – 23. TACFEP empowers its members by providing knowledge, professional development and tools to excel in providing financial literacy programs to post-secondary students in Texas.

“The UNT peer mentors were awesome,” said Patsy Collins, TACFEP chair. “I learned so much from them. UNT must be so proud.”

“The applause following the presentations was well-earned,” said Paul Goebel, director of the SMMC. “It was also an indicator of the audiences’ appreciation of the information and professional delivery. The peer mentors made the center, division and university shine.”
