UNT's Polo Club solidifies a Mean Green legacy with back-to-back championship title. 

UNT's Polo Club solidified  a Mean Green legacy as back-to-back champions in the U.S. Polo Association's Division I Men’s National Intercollegiate Championship.

Six intercollegiate teams from across the country traveled to Charlottesville, Virginia, to compete for the national honor. UNT defeated Texas A&M in the semifinal, 17-15, and then clinched the championship with a 17-8 win over Southern Methodist University.

Team members Vance Miller III and John Dencker were recognized as All-Stars. Dencker also received the Upchurch Memorial Sportsmanship Award for positive attitude, fairness and support for his peers on and off the field.

UNT Polo Club is one of the 37 sports clubs offered through the Division of Student Affairs Recreational Sports.
