UNT's Sigma Nu was recognized as Rock Chapter, the highest honor given to the top 7% of all chapters.

It’s been a great year for Sigma Nu. The Zeta Omicron chapter wrapped up 2024-2025 as not only UNT’s Chapter of the Year but also Sigma Nu’s Rock Chapter, the highest honor given to the top 7% of all chapters.

The recognitions accompany six additional awards:

  • Advisory Excellence Award recognizing the Alumni Advisory Board’s overall excellence in annual assessment.
  • Alumni Chapter Excellence Award celebrating the alumni chapter’s exceptional performance in the annual assessment program.
  • PEP Award for Excellence in Personal Development & Membership Value honoring the chapter’s commitment to member growth and meaningful experiences.
  • PEP Award for Excellence in Principles-Based Leadership acknowledging leadership rooted in Sigma Nu’s core values.
  • PEP Award for Operational Excellence reflecting strong chapter management and organizational success.
  • Regent’s Award for Academic Excellence, awarded for achieving the top IFC GPA across both spring and fall 2024 terms.

These recognitions reflect the chapter’s commitment to excellence in leadership, academics and operations.

Over the past four years, Sigma Nu has maintained a strong academic record, reporting a 3.35 average GPA. Brothers also secured internships across industries, including contracting, cybersecurity, engineering, logistics, marketing, supply chain, and sales working with top-tier organizations BNSF, Celsius, the Dallas Mavericks, Dell, Safran and Uline among others.

As the 2025-2026 academic year begins, the Zeta Omicron chapter welcomes 21 new members to Sigma Nu, continuing its tradition of growth and excellence at UNT.
