You must have a valid parking permit to park in campus parking lots and to avoid a parking citation! The Eagle or Eagle Fall/Spring parking pass for commuter students is good for students who commute to campus multiple times a week during the day. You can purchase a day or hourly pass if you commute to campus once a week or fewer; and if you only have evening classes, you can purchase an Evening Permit, which is a little cheaper. Also, you can purchase daily permits ahead of time to make coming to campus easier, though you will have to print them for display. For more information, visit the UNT Transportation site.
Denton County Transportation Services (DCTA) and UNT have a partnership that provides UNT shuttle services between the Main Campus, Discovery Park, and surrounding neighborhoods with stops at various housing complexes where UNT students live. UNT Shuttle services are free with a valid UNT ID card. Shuttles operate when classes are in session, mostly Monday through Friday with limited services on some weekends. Summer shuttle schedules are different than Fall and Spring schedules. Be sure to periodically check UNT Transportation Services for the latest shuttle schedules, or if there are service or schedule changes.
If you ever need a ride between campus locations, Transportation Services offer e-Ride services. e-Rides are available during Fall and Spring when classes are in session. For e-ride, call 940-565-3014.
Lastly, during Fall and Spring, UNT offers after-hours Lyft services between 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM to get you to your car or on-campus residence safely. Please refer to UNT Transportation Services for instructions on accessing UNT Lyft services. The promo code will be listed on the UNT Transportation Services site for the current or upcoming semester.
