Deante' earned both his B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Counseling, and M.S. in Clinical Mental Health from the University of North Texas. Deante' started with CTS in 2023 as a masters - level trainee clinician, and now has transitioned into a staff Counselor. During his time in school, he was heavily involved in different student affairs initiatives within the mental health and cultural related student organizations at UNT. He also is an experienced group facilitator for expressive arts counseling and uses creativity within sessions. Some of Deante's clinical interests include trauma, identity development, existential issues, life-transitions, mindfulness, anxiety, inner child healing, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, communication, boundaries, and multicultural concerns. Deante' incorporates a holistic approach to therapy including all aspects of the individuals' identities into healing (mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional). He utilizes a collaborative approach to meet the unique needs of each person's restoration. He strives to cultivate a safe space in therapy as clients create meaning in their lives and healing for themselves. Meaningful words of encouragement that empower him are "It's not how you start; it's how you finish."
In his free time, Deante' enjoys spending time with his family and significant other, traveling, eating different foods, caring for his plants, watching movies, and creating beadwork.
