Aqsa Cheema

Aqsa Cheema has served HEB TRIO Talent Search since March 2021 at Hurst Junior High, Bedford Junior High, and LD Bell High School. Originally born and raised in South Florida, Aqsa received her Bachelor's in Social Work at Florida International University in 2017. Prior to her start with TRIO Talent Search, she worked as a Life Coach with at-risk youth and a Child Welfare Case Manager. She got her first job at Broward College, where she worked as an Orientation Leader and found her passion for working with students in the realm of higher education. As a first generation student who did not have access to programs like TRIO, Aqsa understands the immense benefit that comes with one-on-one college mentorship and is passionate about helping students on their path to success.

Fun Facts about Aqsa: Some of my favorite hobbies include creating typography, reading, and cooking. I am a HUGE Disney fan and own many disney-themed hijabs. I love theme parks which include Disney World and Universal Studios, and I was an annual passholder for Universal Studios before coming to Texas!
