Jacqueline Thomas

Jacqueline Thomas serves as the Talent Search Advisor for Denton High School. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Jackie has lived in the north Texas area since 2007. Her journey with TRIO began in 9th grade when she was recruited into the Talent Search program at Gainesville High School. Jackie attended the University of North Texas, where she earned her BA in English and graduated summa cum laude and debt-free in only three years. Jackie has held several roles in the education field, including teaching at the elementary level and caring for infants.

Jackie is now thrilled to be giving back to the program by helping students at DHS. She is passionate about creativity and education, and she loves getting to know her students so she can guide them towards their best possible future. In her spare time, Jackie enjoys tending to her aquarium, playing with her cat Nova, practicing yoga, creating art, advocating for mental health awareness, and gaming
