Jordan Richardson

My name is Jordan Richardson, M.S., LPC. I graduated from Southwestern University with my Bachelors in Sociology before receiving my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UNT. I have spent most of my career working with adolescents and young adults. Working with college students has long been a passion of mine. Going through the college experience is such a transformative experience regardless of when you embark on the journey. It is my pleasure to support students through the challenges they face during this time. Personally, I believe strongly in the power of collaboration and relationship in therapy. I work to ensure clients who come to my office feel safe and understood. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I enjoy integrating games into my therapeutic work. I have developed quite a collection of tabletop games that I use with clients in therapy. I have even gotten a certification as a Therapeutic Game Master that has trained me to use games, like Dungeons and Dragons, in therapeutic ways. It is my hope to use my skills and knowledge to serve the students at UNT in achieving their goals to the best of my ability.
