Mia serves as a Program Specialist in the Office of Disability Access, where she brings a strong commitment to advocacy and support. Before joining the Office of Disability Access, Mia worked in the Athletics Department at the University of North Texas as an Assistant Learning Specialist, supporting student-athletes in their academic pursuits. Prior to that, she gained valuable experience at a psychiatric hospital in Denton, Texas, where she assisted disabled veterans and first responders in their recovery and reintegration.

Mia has also dedicated her summers to volunteering with Texas Work Ready, coaching high school students with disabilities in job readiness and life skills. Her approach is rooted in open communication, which she sees as a vital tool for building community through collaboration and curiosity.

Outside of work, Mia enjoys connecting with friends and loved ones through gardening, baking, crafting and crocheting.
