Paige earned her master’s degree in social work with a focus in Direct Practice in
Mental Health and Substance Misuse from the University of Texas at Arlington and shortly
after was awarded her license master social worker through the State of Texas. She
received her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of North Texas.
She has worked in the mental health field for 7 years in the non-profit sector, specifically
working with individuals dealing with severe and persistent mental illness. She is
passionate about helping individuals, knowing that each person’s life is unique and
special, and they should be treated with empathy, kindness, and respect. She believes
that empowering the students at UNT to help them achieve their right to self-determination
is key to being a successful withdrawal coordinator. In her free time, she enjoys
playing with her three cats, spending time with loved ones, reading, and doing all
the different things outdoors.
