2026-2027 Registration

Registration for returning organizations (those registered with Student Activities the previous academic year) consists of two parts:

  • Submission of the organization's Registration Application on the *NEW* Student Org Management Platform, EagleLink.
  • Completion of Student Org Orientation

The 2026-2027 priority registration deadline is August 28th at 5:00 pm. Returning RSOs, those registered the previous academic year, that did not reach registration approval (successful completion of both parts listed above) by this deadline will be indicated as “Unregistered” in EagleLink and will not be visible on the organization directory until registrations steps have been satisfied.

Organizations that register before the first day of school will be entered for an early bird chance to win a $100 co-sponsorship. Organizations that register by the priority deadline will also be entered to win a $100 co-sponsorship. That means that organizations that register before the first day of school will have two chances to win!

Preparing for Registration

  1. Complete Student Org Orientation as your first introduction to the new EagleLink platform.
  2. Ensure your organization’s Constitution/Bylaws includes required clauses verbatim; the Sample Constitution indicates the required clauses in red text.
  3. Consult the Registration Application tutorial as you progress through the application.

Registration Application Submission Tips

  • Only a current officer (not an advisor or former officer) as listed on the EagleLink roster can complete the Registration Application.
  • To begin the application, select the registration button titled, “{Academic Year} Registration Application,” under the Actions tab on the student org’s EagleLink portal.
  • Follow instructions contained in the EagleLink tutorials for help regarding navigating, reviewing and approving, and revising and resubmitting a rejected Registration Application, to avoid submission and processing delays.
  • Your primary UNT Primary Advisor and President (if the President did not submit it) must approve your  student org’s Registration Application before it can advance to Student Activities for review. After you submit your application, please notify your Advisor and President, who will receive an email from “UNT Student Activities EagleLink” requesting their review.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don't see the Organization Management link on my homepage to access the Registration Application?

Only a currently listed student org officer can access to the Registration Application. Prior to EagleLink launch, at least one officer, assuming they were an actively enrolled student at the time, was added to the organization's EagleLink roster based on OrgSync roster information as of July 30. Those officers should be able to access the organization's portal. If no current officer can access the portal, the President should contact Student Activities at student.activities@unt.edu, providing their EUID or Student ID #, so we can add a current officer to the roster.

OR

Your student org is considered a new or dissolved org, and is not eligible to access the current year's application until terms for this student org type has been satisfied.

When will my organization be registered?

Applications will not be reviewed by Student Activities until after both the Advisor and President (if the President did not submit) approve the submission.  Applications are processed in the order they are received with the goal of registering student orgs within 5-10 business days from the date the student org completes both parts of the registration process.  This processing window is contingent upon Student Activities workload at the time.

As Student Activities is generally unable to fulfill requests to expedite processing to meet anticipated event dates, organizations are encouraged to submit their error free Registration Application far in advance to improve the likelihood of reaching registration approval by targeted date(s).

Your Student Org  will be registered when:

  • All required student org related steps have been completed:
    • President and Advisor approval
    • Successful completion of Orientation by required officer
    • Application revisions addressed as needed
  • Student Activities approves the Registration Application
How will I know my organization Is registered?

The President, Primary Advisor, and Registration Application submitter will receive an email from “UNT Student Activities EagleLink with the subject: “{Organization’s Name} is Registered.

After the August 28th priority deadline, organizations that appear on the organization directory  are considered registered for 2026-2027.

Can my organization host events or table while waiting for our registration approval?
Per Policy 07.019, an organization is not eligible to host events on campus, reserve rooms, or enjoy benefits of other functions/services reserved for registered student organizations until it registered status for the current academic year.

Student Org Orientation

At least one current officer must complete all modules and quizzes in Canvas with a score of 80% or better to receive credit:

    • Orientation must be completed by the current President or Risk Management Officer for Sport Clubs and Greek-letter chapters advised by the Center for Leadership Development
    • Any current officer may complete Orientation for all other RSOs

Although only one officer is required to pass the quizzes, we strongly recommend all officers view the module videos.
