Voter Eligibility

You are eligible to vote in Texas if:

  • You are a U.S. Citizen
  • You are a resident of Texas
  • You will be 18 years old or older by the election year

Early Voting and Voting by Mail


Early Voting Polling Locations in Denton

If you are a university student away from home, you are eligible to vote by mail. To vote by mail, you must first apply for a ballot. Sign, date, and mail your completed early voting Application for Ballot by Mail to the early voting clerk in your county. They must receive your application no earlier than 60 days prior to an election and no later than 11 days from Election Day. For the November 2nd General Election, the last day for them to receive your Application for Ballot by Mail is Friday, November 22. To be safe, please be sure to submit it at least a week prior to that date.
