Eaglethon

Eaglethon at UNT is a unique and exciting tradition dedicated to raising awareness and funds to serve the families of Cook Children's and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, while engaging students and the community to create Leaders, Dancers, and MIRACLES! Join the movement and help us change kids' health, change the future!

About

Eaglethon is a year-long fundraising program that ends with the main event, a 6-hour long dance and activities to celebrate the children helped by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals each year. Some of the Cook Children's families participate in the event, and we highlight the kids to the fullest!

Make Miracles

On "The BIG Day", Miracle Makers (Participants) remain active by dancing, standing or participating in various activities for the full 6 hours! Live entertainment and a DJ help pass the time, along with performances by local bands and university dancing and singing groups, and appearances from some UNT favorites!
Many children and families give speeches about their struggles and the successes they have found because of the amazing hospital service.

Join a Committee

Eaglethon's success relies on the passionate members who help with event planning and execution, fundraising, recruitment, and other programming throughout the year leading up to the main event.
You can help with Dancer Relations as a Team Liaison, be a part of the event planning, help fundraising and sponsorship efforts, or help maintain the energy and optimism during the year on the Morale Team.

Committee meets Tuesdays from 5-6 PM virtually. Contact unteaglethon@gmail.com to join!

General Committee
Members are really the bread and butter of Eaglethon because they allow all the programs we put on for the kids to be possible. These individuals have the most scheduling flexibility but are responsible for attending all meetings and events as needed. Great for go-getters that love active volunteer work and having fun!

Morale Team
The Morale team is a sub-committee of the general committee. These individuals are responsible for maintaining energy and optimism during the year and especially during the main event. Morale team are the cheerleaders for Eaglethon and may be asked to perform alongside Morale at the big event!

Practices will be held before, during, or after general meeting so there is a slight time commitment. Great for energetic spunky individuals who aren’t afraid to preform and show their passion for the kids.
