Eaglethon
Eaglethon at UNT is a unique and exciting tradition dedicated to raising awareness
and funds to serve the families of Cook Children's and Children's Miracle Network
Hospitals, while engaging students and the community to create Leaders, Dancers, and
MIRACLES! Join the movement and help us change kids' health, change the future!
About
Eaglethon is a year-long fundraising program that ends with the main event, a 6-hour
long dance and activities to celebrate the children helped by Children's Miracle Network
Hospitals each year. Some of the Cook Children's families participate in the event,
and we highlight the kids to the fullest!
Make Miracles
On "The BIG Day", Miracle Makers (Participants) remain active by dancing, standing
or participating in various activities for the full 6 hours! Live entertainment and
a DJ help pass the time, along with performances by local bands and university dancing
and singing groups, and appearances from some UNT favorites!
Many children and families give speeches about their struggles and the successes they
have found because of the amazing hospital service.
Join a Committee
Join us in the Fall for our weekly committee meetings! Committee meetings will be
held every Thursday from 5-6 pm in the Business Leadership Building room 075, starting on September 7th! Please complete our interest form to learn more and stay
up to date on upcoming events!
Eaglethon's success relies on the passionate members who help with event planning
and execution, fundraising, recruitment, and other programming throughout the year
leading up to the main event.
You can help with Dancer Relations as a Team Liaison, be a part of the event planning,
help fundraising and sponsorship efforts, or help maintain the energy and optimism
during the year on the Morale Team.
Kids Can't Wait
Eaglethon is all about having fun, but we're also about raising money to benefit the
kids at Cook Children's. There are plenty of ways for your organization to raise money
on behalf of Eaglethon.
