Clothing & Suit Up Closets
The Clothing and Suit Up Closets provide free clothing for all UNT students. The Clothing
Closet offers free everyday wear for students to keep, and the Suit Up closet provides
free rentals of professional wear.
Both Clothing Closets are closed until at least August 3, 2026, as we pack up and move to our new home at 621 S. Welch Street.
About Us
The Diamond Eagle Clothing Closet provides free clothing for all students at UNT with two separate closet programs.
The Casual Clothing Closet is a free thrift store for students. You can take home and keep any clothes from this closet! Most clothing is everday casual wear, but there's also professional clothing, sleepwear, atheletic clothes, and more!
The UNT Suit-Up Closet provides free professional clothing rentals for students. Students must show proof of professional event such as job interviews, career fairs, presentations, headshots, and other professional development opportunities. Students are required to wash or dry clean their rentals before returning. The UNT Career Center has a partnership with Lee Cleaners located at 1618 W. University Dr. in Denton where students can receive 10% off their dry cleaning service if they mention the UNT Career Center and bring their UNT student ID.
Using the Closet
During regular semesters, the closet is available by appointment through Navigate360 Student, by selecting 'Diamond Eagle Student Resource Center' as the location. When you sign up for an appointment, please list whether you are looking for a professional clothing rental or general clothing access.
If utilizing the Suit-Up Program, please provide proof of your professional opportunity, such as a screenshot of an interview confirmation or job fair date. Although there is no charge to rent the clothing, students are responsible for having the items professionally dry cleaned before returning them. The UNT Career Center has a partnership with Lee Cleaners located at 1618 W. University Dr. in Denton where students can receive 10% off their dry cleaning service if they mention the UNT Career Center and bring their UNT student ID.
Donating to the Closet
Donations are accepted during operating hours (M-F 8am-5pm) by drop-off. Clothing should be no more than three years old, and must be clean and free of stains, tears, or holes.

Return Policy
The Diamond Eagle Clothing Closet requires certain professional clothing items to be returned. We reserve our highest quality items for us in the Suit Up Closet for rent. We ask that students clean and return the clothing items within a week after their professional event takes place. If you find yourself needing additional time, you can connect with us to request extensions up to 1 week at a time, no more than 3 weeks.
Students with overdue rentals are unable to utilize the closet until their items are returned. Multiple infringements on this policy will result in a hold on their UNT student account. Please contact us at desresources@unt.edu with any questions about this policy.
