Meaningful impact doesn’t come from titles. It comes from your character, your work ethic, and your willingness to uplift those around you.

When Rayna’s (UNT ’26) name was announced as Executive Member of the Year, the moment echoed the energy, passion, and intentional leadership she’s brought to every space she’s served. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, she exemplifies what it means to lead with heart and purpose.

Rayna has held multiple leadership roles, including second vice president and risk management chair of her chapter and vice president of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). Today, she carries the torch forward as the newly elected president of the “Electrifying” Epsilon Mu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha.

“Winning Executive Member of the Year is an incredible honor that affirms the dedication, hard work, and love I have poured into my chapter and UNT’s Fraternity and Sorority Life community,” she shared. “It reflects not only the long hours and strategic planning, and endless conversations, but also the heart behind every initiative, meeting, and collaboration.”

As second vice president, Rayna’s role was anything but static. She supported the duties of her chapter’s first vice president and stepped up in the absence of the president and first vice president. She also chaired Alpha Kappa Alpha’s Social Committee, overseeing events, fundraisers and scholarship initiatives that sparked engagement across the chapter. But for her, it wasn’t about hosting events. It was about intentionality.

Rayna emphasized mission-aligned programming that not only amplified her chapter’s presence on campus but also strengthened connections within the Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) community. Her leadership style reflects a deep understanding of the value of both tradition and innovation, bridging the two in a way that fosters growth and unity.

“Being part of FSL has taught me adaptive leadership. I’ve learned how to balance tradition with innovation, how to advocate for others, and how to lead from both the front and behind the scenes,” she said.

Rayna credits her chapter and fellow leaders as key contributors to her success. Their trust, encouragement, and shared commitment to excellence were the fuel behind her drive to exceed expectations.

“This recognition would not have been possible without the support, trust, and collaboration of my chapter members and fellow CFSL peers,” she said. “Their faith in my leadership pushed me to grow in ways I never imagined.”

For those aspiring to make a meaningful impact, Rayna offers powerful advice: stay rooted in your values.

“Your authenticity is your superpower. Stay committed, lead with purpose, and never underestimate the value of consistency and follow-through. Meaningful impact doesn’t come from titles. It comes from your character, your work ethic, and your willingness to uplift those around you.”

Rayna’s journey is a testament to the kind of leadership that transforms chapters, communities, and lives. As she steps into her role as president of the Epsilon Mu Chapter, one thing is clear: the future is in good hands. And it's electrifying.
