Togetherall increases accessibility of mental health services and provides an option to students who may not need more formal and intensive therapy services.

Prioritizing our students' mental health, Counseling and Testing Services at the University of North Texas has seen continued success since launching a free online peer support network for all UNT students. Togetherall, an anonymous platform, available 24/7, complements the university’s existing mental health services by providing an accessible and supportive space for students to connect with others experiencing similar challenges.

"Students face a wide range of mental health concerns and are sometimes reluctant to seek traditional counseling services,” said Bethany Evans, executive director of UNT’s Counseling and Testing Services. “We know that peer support programs can help people overcome a variety of challenges and empower them to make the best decisions and strive toward their goals.”

Since its implementation, Togetherall has seen significant engagement, with over 1,400 students registered. Among these students,70% represent underserved populations, 62% are not seeking any formal mental health support, and 12% have no support at all.

The flexibility of the online platform allows students to access support whenever they need it, without the constraints of scheduled counseling sessions. Students also have access to self-help resources to better understand their feelings, set goals, and track their progress.

"Through Togetherall, we can increase the accessibility of mental health services and provide an option to students who may not need more formal and intensive therapy services. The on-demand nature of the platform also allows students to get support when they need it."

As mental health awareness continues to grow, UNT remains committed to providing comprehensive support to its students. Togetherall is a significant step forward in ensuring that all students have access to the resources they need to thrive academically and personally.
