About Pre-College Programs

Welcome to Pre-College Programs at the University of North Texas! Our programs help high school students explore college life, prepare for higher education, and build confidence for their future.

Students can participate in workshops, campus tours, college readiness programs, and special events throughout the school year and summer. Whether you're just beginning to think about college or preparing to apply, Pre-College Programs offer opportunities to help you take the next step toward becoming a UNT student.

Pre-College Programs offer engaging experiences for students throughout all four years of high school. Our programs are designed to help students prepare for college, explore academic opportunities, and experience campus life while building the knowledge and confidence needed for a successful transition to college.

Programs and events may include:

  • College readiness workshops
  • Guided campus tours
  • Financial aid and scholarship information sessions
  • Access to select UNT athletic events
  • Overnight campus experiences

A schedule of upcoming events is available each semester on our website. Some events require advance registration or an RSVP, so students are encouraged to check the calendar regularly for the latest opportunities.

Senior Day made UNT feel like home!

"Attending Senior Day definitely made college feel less daunting and helped me get a better understanding of what attending college would be like. Senior Day was such a fun and informative experience that made UNT feel like home before I had even applied. My Senior Day leader answered all of the questions I had and motivated me to apply to become an Orientation Leader when I did get to UNT, which really kickstarted my leadership journey.

This past summer I was fortunate enough to be an Orientation Leader and experienced a full circle moment when I got to lead my own Senior Day group! I am continuing to develop my leadership skills on campus and currently work as an ACCESS peer mentor and an officer for my organization, the Honors College Programming Council."
