Registration Revisited

 

UNT students register for classes based on their classification. Classification is determined by number of credit hours a student has. See below for your classification, based on number of completed credit hours.

Freshman

0 – 29 hours

Sophomore

30 – 59 hours

Junior

60 – 89 hours

Senior

90+ hours

 

Freshman students can register for the Fall 2026 academic semester beginning Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. Meeting with an advisor is required for all freshman students before their advising hold is lifted to register for the spring semester.

Same Day Appointments are first come first served and are booked online through Navigate. We recommend that students are signed into Navigate at 8:15am so they can claim a spot as soon as they go live.

For students with less than 45 hours in good academic standing, we will have another large group advising opportunity on Saturday March 28. Students should check their my.UNT email for links and instructions on how to RSVP. This Saturday workshop WILL satisfy their required advising. Advising staff will be helping students prepare their course plan and will meet with them individually to sign off approval of their courses.
