ELECTION BOARD

The Election Board organizes and facilities all Student Government elections. The Board strives to ensure a fair, transparent, and equitable election process for all the candidates. 

SPRING ELECTIONS

Elections will take place from March 24 at 8am through March 27 at 5pm. All currently enrolled undergraduate students are eligible to vote. 

You will be given access to vote in the college/school/academy of your primary major (typically the one declared first if you have more than one), as of March 13, 2025. If you are unable to access elections during the dates and times above, or if your major and college were changed after March 13 and you would like to vote in your new college, please do not vote now. Instead, email your Student ID number (8 digits) and EUID (initials and 4 digits) to the Election Board Advisor, Jeremy Sippel (jeremy.sippel@unt.edu), by 12pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025. After that time, there is no guarantee that access to your ballot can be granted to allow you to vote by the close of elections.

  • Election Code Information Meeting: 2/19th @12pm
  • Election Code Information Meeting: 2/21st @5pm
  • Election Code Information Meeting: 2/25th @5pm
  • Election Code Information Meeting: 2/28th @12pm
  • Write In Election Code Information Meeting: 3/21st @5pm

*Do you still need to attend a Mandatory Election Code Meeting? Please email sgaelections@unt.edu to set up a Election Code Information Meeting before the filing deadline on Thursday, March 6th at 11:59 p.m.

  • Applications are available: 2/17th - 3/6th
  • Write in Applications Open: 3/7th
  • Campaigning: 3/17th @8am - 3/27 @5pm
  • Voting: 3/24th @8am - 3/27 @5pm
  • Runoff Voting: 4/2nd -  4/3rd @5pm
  • Winning Candidate Announcement: 3/28th @5pm
  • Winning Runoff Candidate Announcement: 4/4th @5pm
