"I've always been intrigued by art and creative culture. When I found out UNT's College of Visual Arts and Design is one of the nation's most comprehensive visual arts schools, I was sold."
How have you gotten involved in campus?
"s my professional journey approaches quickly, I've decided to get much more involved in the design community this year. I'll be joining AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) and DSVC (Dallas Society of Visual Communications). Aside from that, I love a good football game!"
What advice would you give to a student who is looking to make the most of their time at UNT?
"BE INVOLVED - Yeah, you hear it all the time but for real, you should do it. Discover your passions then do everything you can to make use of them. Join organizations you think you'll fit into, but be cautious of spreading yourself too thin.
Pay attention to what the University Program Council has scheduled. They are consistently implementing educational, social, cultural, and entertaining events. UNT has one of the best music programs around, find out what that's about! Support UNT athletes whenever you can. Not everyone gets the chance to fully experience college, so thrive on every opportunity UNT has to offer!"
How has your UNT experience been so far?
"It's difficult to condense UNT's impact on my life into a few sentences. I've made so many friends and memories that will last a lifetime. My experiences so far have essentially forced me to flourish as an individual, and I couldn't thank this university enough for that."
What are your plans after you finish at UNT?
"After I finish school, I hope to take the skills I've developed at UNT and contribute them at a design agency or studio on the DFW map."
