"I love that UNT is a place where everyone can be anyone they chose to be. Friendly people with open attitudes and a desire to help one another is what you can find here, and I knew it was a campus I wanted to be a part of."
"What really attracted me to UNT is the overall environment and Denton culture. I love that UNT is a place where everyone can be anyone they chose to be. Friendly people with open attitudes and a desire to help one another is what you can find here, and I knew it was a campus I wanted to be a part of. Plus, UNT has a stellar Media Arts team that allows us film students to dive into the film industry."
"I have been a proud member of the University Program Council for over a year and a half, and it's honestly been one of the best decisions I've made since arriving at UNT. Last year, I joined the executive board as one of the entertainment coordinators. In that position, I help run and create free movies, live shows and other entertainment events. I currently serve as the vice president of membership and plan to make lasting experiences for our wonderful members who help us plan and implement the amazing free events we provide to UNT's student body.
I also am a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and serve as the social media chair. Being a part of a nationally recognized honor society that is so involved in helping the community in academics and philanthropy is truly a humbling experience."
"If you're on the fence about whether to get involved or not, take my advice and do it! There's a multitude of organizations here on campus, and I can assure you one of them has a spot for you. Even if you're curious about an org, ask around or sit in at a meeting to see what they're all about. Being involved is going to bring you closer to your peers, open opportunities for you socially or career-wise and honestly beats just going to class and then going home. Take a chance!"
