"Say yes to opportunities! Before UNT I would get nervous or shy about attending events or joining certain organizations. Now that I have experienced how life changing saying yes could be, I never plan to stop."
What attracted you to UNT?

The psychology project interested me at the start and when I stepped on campus, it just felt like home! A very close and supporting community. Also, I love Green!

What student organizations, programs, and activities are you involved in?

I have worked as an Orientation Leader and ACCESS Peer Mentor. I have been involved in Kappa Alpha Order, Talons, University Programs Council, Country Western Dance Club, and UNT Esports.

How has being involved helped you develop valuable skills that extend beyond the classroom?

I have met so many new people from so many different backgrounds and really learned how to work efficiently in any group. I have gained so much self-confidence and made real changes in many different areas.

What advice would you give a student who is looking to make the most out of their college experience?

Find something you love! The most important thing you can do for yourself is learn what you are passionate about and work towards a dream!

What do you like most about UNT?

I love the people. There are so many different kinds of people you will meet, and everyone is so unique. There really is a group for everyone here.

If you could recommend students attend one campus activity or event, what would it be and why?

Attend the homecoming bonfire! Every ounce of school spirit and pride is poured into the bonfire and celebration. Everyone should experience it at least once.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I have an orange cat named Biscuit!

What are your plans after graduating from UNT?

I plan on attending law school and working in family law!

What is something you have learned at UNT that you will carry with you for life?

Say yes to opportunities! Before UNT I would get nervous or shy about attending events or joining certain organizations. Now that I have experienced how life changing saying yes could be, I never plan to stop.
