Withdrawal

  • Visit the DOS Withdrawal Page for withdrawal deadlines and actions
  • Visit Student Accounting’s Website for tuition adjustment dates
  • Check the sessions of the courses you are looking to withdraw from:
    • Session Withdrawals: If you are withdrawing from the first 8-week session but will be remaining enrolled for the regular 16-week session, you will be able to withdraw from these courses via your MyUNT.
    • Full Semester Withdrawal: If you are wanting to withdraw from all courses, regardless of session, this is considered a full semester withdrawal.
    • Course Drop: If you are looking to drop one or more courses, but not all of your courses within the same session, this is considered a drop.

Information on dropping courses can be found listed here.
  • Go to the DOS referrals and reports page and find the form labeled “Refer to Withdrawal Intervention." This is not the official withdrawal form, but a request to inquire about withdrawing. A staff member will reach out with additional paperwork and information.
  • Fill out the form labeled “Withdrawal Request Form”

Find a PDF version of the withdrawal checklist here.

If any of these apply to you, you will be required to make an appointment in order to withdraw:

  • An undergraduate or graduate student who has on-campus housing
  • An undergraduate student receiving financial aid

Within 1-3 business days, you will receive an email with withdrawal information and options for the next steps in the withdrawal process. Once you have completed any additional paperwork, you will be sent an email confirming your withdrawal has been processed.
