Solar Generator for Events

UNT hosts several educational and social events on campus every year, and many of these events require electricity typically acquired through loud, gasoline-powered generators. As a more sustainable alternative, the We Mean Green Fund supported the purchase of a solar-powered generator that provides clean energy and results in a smaller carbon footprint, improved air quality, and more pleasant events.

This We Mean Green Fund project was proposed in 2016 with the support of Student Activities and the We Mean Green Fund Department. The solar trailer made its first appearance on campus during the 2016 - 2017 fiscal year.

Interested in using the Solar Trailer for your next UNT event? Please fill out this interest survey. The trailer is available for use by UNT students and employees. A subsidy provided by the We Mean Green Fund may be available to cover the cost. Email WeMeanGreenFund@unt.edu to inquire about the first come first served subsidy.
