Let's get ready to #BeatFAU on Thursday, November 15! It's a battle between the 2017 Conference USA Championship teams and it'll be televised on CBS Sports, so we need you there to cheer on the Mean Green! Kick off is at 8:30pm.
We want to see your signs! Add to the game day atmosphere by creating your own College GameDay-like sign.
Not only could you get on TV and the Apogee big screen, but you could win one of two prizes of $100 in Flex dollars! We'll have a panel of celebrity judges pick the winner, or you can win “fan fave” by having your sign get the most Likes on Twitter.
To enter, Tweet a picture of your sign, tagging @UNTactivities with the hashtag #IssaSignUNT, any time between 5:30 and 8:30pm. Bring your sign to the game and cheer on the Mean Green. During the first half, our celebrity judges will select a winner. The "fan fave" winner will be the Tweet with the most likes at the end of the first half. A student may win only one prize. Both winners will be recognized during the 3rd quarter and must be present (and have their sign) to win.
You're free to use your own materials and make your sign at home, but we'll have card board and markers available at 12 O'Clock Caw (November 14, 12pm, outside the Union Art Gallery) and at the Division of Student Affairs tailgate located on The Hill (outside of Gate 4).
While everyone is encouraged to make a sign, this contest is open to current UNT students only. Signs may not:
Be vulgar or contain profanity or derogatory statements or innuendos
Encourage inappropriate or illegal use of alcohol or drugs
Obstruct the view of other spectators
Come check out Apogee After Dark, starting at 5:30pm on the Hill (outside of Gate 4).
For food, there will be 200 free brats from the Division of Student Affairs and 700 free In-N-Out Burgers. To keep you energized and warm, there will be free coffee and hot cocoa from Farmer Brothers, as well as free Monster energy drinks.
Entertainment will include the Boombachs, who will take the stage at 6:45pm.
There will also be heaters to keep you warm!
