"You will be here for only a certain amount of time, and this is the best time to try something new and explore. By getting involved, you gain so many skills that will make you stand out and help you develop as a person."
"When I was in high school, I joined the Senior Year Experience program and got the chance to experience and see what UNT has to offer. I loved the beautiful campus and especially the wonderful faculty, staff and students. UNT is a very diverse community, and I cherish that. We all come from different walks of life, but we are all here together wanting to complete one goal. UNT and its community really support not only my academic career, but accept me for who I am."
"As a student assistant for Senior Year Experience, I was able to help with event planning, prepping, executing and analyzing outcomes. I also was able to gain leadership skills, and it was awesome to work for the program that opened my eyes to UNT.
I also have served as an orientation leader and a student coordinator for Orientation and Transition Programs, and I love working with students and parents. Being able to help both students and their parents with the college transition is a humbling experience. I made new friends and amazing connections with students, and I was able to gain leadership experience."
"Go for it! I relate back to high school. You will be here for only a certain amount of time, and this is the best time to try something new and explore. By getting involved, you gain so many skills that will make you stand out and help you develop as a person. It's better to focus on your strengths and focus less on your weaknesses. Your strengths are what makes you who you are. Be yourself!"
