GHS Talent Search at Group Dynamix
This summer at GHS
GHS Talent Search had the opportuity to take a trip down to Group Dynamix in Carrollton.
We practiced problem solving, team building, goal setting , and communication/relationship
skills by participating in activities that brought out the very best in each of our
students. Valuable time was spent with the Group Leaders engaging the students in
conversations about applying the lessons in their day to day life. More fun was had
playing dodgeball and climbing on the challenging Ropes course. We rewarded ourselves
for our hard work/play by having lunch at CiCi's pizza!
By engaging our students in multiple activites including supporting their school events,
taking them on college campus tours, and various career site visits, we are assisting
our students with recognizing and developing their potential so that they can enroll
and complete the postsecondary education that is best for their needs.
Our goal in Talent Search is to increase the number of college graduates at GHS by
assisting students with academic enrichment, college enrollment, and the financial
aid process. We took a big step toward that goal this week!
