Research consistently shows that when parents and families are actively engaged in their student's education, students are more likely to succeed. To help families stay informed and connected, TRIO Upward Bound uses GroupMe as a communication platform.
Through GroupMe, parents can receive real-time announcements, program updates, reminders, and calendar events, ensuring they never miss important information. The platform also provides a convenient way to communicate directly with TRIO Upward Bound staff, making it easier to ask questions and stay involved in your student's academic journey.

Parent Day brings families together during a regularly scheduled Saturday meeting, with workshops covering topics like financial aid, campus safety, student support resources, and being a successful commuter student. Most sessions are offered in both English and Spanish. The day includes a resource fair where parents can connect directly with campus and community service providers.
