UNT Leadership Certificate Series

Do you want to develop your skills as a leader? Participate in our Leadership Course, open to students from any major.

Leaders are found in all career fields, making leadership studies appropriate for students in every academic discipline. Students in programs ranging from environmental science and criminal justice to psychology, sport management, and political science find that leadership can be a solution to issues within their academic field. The program takes an interdisciplinary approach, drawing electives from across the curriculum.

Leadership Studies Certificate

  • 12-15 hour certificate hosted through the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences
  • The certificate is open to any student from any major.

UCRS 3600- Leadership in Practice

  • Taught every spring semester by the Center for Leadership Development.
  • Offered Tuesday/Thursday from 11-12:20pm
  • The 3-hour course focuses on teaching the foundation of leadership and leadership skills through understanding both theory and practice and hands-on experience. The course prepares students to become effective leaders in their career, community, campus, and beyond.
