The ACCESS (Advocates Creating Conversations that Engage and Support Students) Mentoring
Program connects new students to the UNT community, encourages the use of campus resoruces,
and promotes four-year graduation. First year students are paired with a peer mentor
and attend meetings throughout the school year to help with their transition to college.
The program connects new students to the UNT community though programs on campus and
allows them to receive advice from a peer leader as they navigate the college experience.
ACCESS Peer Mentors are part of the first year student One Team. The One Team is a
support system for new students which includes their academic advisor, a career coach,
and their peer mentor. Students can make an appointment with members of their One
Team through Navigate.
