About Sibling Day - a UNT Tradition!
Join us for the 11th annual Sibling Day!
Sibling Day is an exciting tradition at UNT where current students can bring a sibling to campus to show off their North Texas home. Whether your sibling is in elementary school or attending another university, there is something for everyone at Sibling Day! The schedule includes open recreation at the Pohl Rec Center, a meal ticket to the dining hall, free passes to the Sky Theatre, and the opportunity to see a movie on campus.

Cost
There is a fee associated with participation in Sibling Day. Interested participants must complete the registration form below to sign up for Sibling Day.
- Sibling Day Registration Fees
- $40.00 per sibling
- 1st UNT student is Free with at least 1 sibling registrant.
- $16.00 for additional UNT student
The fee for Sibling Day includes meals, access to campus events, event t-shirt, and other swag.
UNT students who seek to participate without a registered sibling will need to pay the full Sibling registration fee.

Pohl Recreation Center, 2nd level There will be a photo bus set up outside the Rec Center until 11:00 AM for you and your sibling to take a fun picture! |
10:15 a.m. Sibling Day Welcome |
Pohl Recreation Center, 2nd level Join other Sibling Day participants for the official welcome address by the Sibling Day program staff. If you have any questions about the day, this is the time to ask them! |
10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Scrappy's Challenge |
various campus locations Scrappy's Challenge is an exciting opportunity to take photos and show off UNT to your sibling! Solve each clue together as you visit various campus locations, taking a photo at each stop to document your hunt. Feel free to post these photos on social media with #SiblingDay2023. Siblings who complete the challenge will receive a UNT prize pack to show off their Mean Green spirit! |
10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Open Rec at the Pohl |
various campus locations Visit the Pohl Recreation Center for a morning of open recreation! Come play corn hole, ladder golf, or giant dominoes! Equipment will be available at the front desk to check out if you would like to play basketball or volleyball. ! |
10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Board Games & More |
Media Library: Chilton Hall, suite 111 Sibling Day participants can visit the Media Library in Chilton Hall to check out board games, play on a variety of video game consoles, experience Virtual Reality, or attempt to escape from the wizard-themed escape room. Interested escape room participants should stop by in the morning to sign up for a 30-minute time slot. |

Eagle Landing Dining Hall Experience residence hall dining here at UNT! A meal ticket will be provided to Sibling Day participants and UNT students who do not have a meal plan. |
12:00 p.m. Sky Theater Children's Matinee - “The Little Star That Could” |
Sky Theater: Environmental Science Building Show your wristband for free admission to this sky theater. |
2:00 p.m. North Texas v. Western Kentucky |
UNT Coliseum, enter at Gate D Come out and watch the Mean Green take on Western Kentucky in this Conference USA home game! UNT students will need to reserve their tickets at UNTtix.com; Sibling Day participants will receive their tickets at check-in. |
Resources
Required Forms
UNT students participating in Sibling Day are responsible for the care of their sibling in attendance. The Orientation and Transition Programs office does not provide childcare for attendees; therefore, it is the responsibility of the UNT student to keep track of their sibling participant during the entire length of the program. Participants under the age of 18 are required to submit a Permission to Treat Form to the office of Orientation and Transition Programs. The form requires participants to submit a copy of their current insurance card.

Parking
Sibling Day participants will be given a temporary parking permit for the day to park in designated parking lots on Saturday. Please check your confirmation email to download the permit. Printed permits will also be available at check-in on Saturday morning. A university parking map can be found online on the Transportation Services website
