Bio: 
Brenda Sweeten, LCSW is a Clinical Professor in the University of North Texas Department of Social Work and serves as UNT's Foster Care Liaison Officer. Brenda earned a MSSW from the University of Texas at Austin and a BSW from Baylor University. Brenda has 28 years of practice experience in the child welfare and judicial system serving child and families. Brenda is very engaged in the local and statewide community serving on a number of boards and advisory councils including Education Reach for Texans, a non-profit that brings together higher education and child welfare professionals from across Texas to share ideas, generate original research, policy and practice recommendations. Brenda, along with a group of amazing foster care alumni students at UNT founded Persevere UNTil Success Happens, or PUSH, in 2012. In her free time, Brenda enjoys gardening, traveling (to the beach), crocheting and spending family time with her husband, two children, and their dachshunds.

Bio:  Lindsey Foster is the Coordinator of Student Engagement and the PUSH Co-Advisor. She has her Master's in Social Work and her B.A in Social Work from Texas Tech University. She is excited to get to know and work with PUSH students! In her free time, Lindsey enjoys reading, traveling, and hanging out with her family and friends.

Bio: Gummer Zackaria is a first year in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program here at UNT. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Counseling and Arabic. A fun fact about her is that she is fluent in Arabic and has a cat named Venus.

Bio: Chariot earned her Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of North Texas and is now finishing her masters in the Joint Masters in Social Work program at the University of North Texas and Texas Woman's University and will graduate in May of 2024. Chariot is serving as the PUSH intern for this academic school year and is very excited to be able to support and advocate for the PUSH students in order for them to have a productive and enjoyable semester. In her free time, Chariot enjoys craft projects and sketching fashions or watching movies with her fur baby!
