The Collegiate Panhellenic Council is the governing body of the eight National PanhellenicConference
affiliated sororities at the University of North Texas. Panhellenic is an organization
established to foster interfraternal relationships, to help collegiate chapters of
the National Panhellenic Conference member groups, and to assist in maintaining the
highest scholastic and social standards. The council enables the sororities to work
together more effectively on campus.
The individual organizations are dedicated to personal development, academic achievement,
leadership growth, and service to the campus and community. Activities may include
community service projects, educational programs, leadership training, study halls,
sisterhood retreats, intramural sports and fraternity mixers. Above all, sororities
foster close friendships that will last through college and beyond. Panhellenic meets
weekly to discuss the current issues facing the Fraternity and Sorority Community,
plan upcoming events, and serve as a link between UNT administration and individual
organizations.

Panhellenic Continuous Open Bidding (COB)
The Continuous Open Bidding period is only available for a select few chapters that do not fill their quota of new members. Women that withdrew from the formal period prior to MRABA signing and women that have not participated in formal recruitment are eligible to participate. If you did not register for the formal recruitment period, please sign up here.
Spring Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment Opportunities
UNT Panhellenic does not have formal or informal Spring recruitment. During the Spring semester, chapters with membership opportunities will participate in a process referred to as Continuous Open Bidding (COB). Chapters will individually host events or invite potential new members to get to know the chapter. These events are usually casual and provide a fun and relaxed environment where potential new members will be able to get to know one another before potentially joining the organization.
Costs to Join
Fraternities/Sororities have been self-sufficient since their inception. Members of these groups pay their own way through dues, membership fees and one-time new member or initiation fees. Cost of membership in a Greek-lettered organization varies, depending on the organization and housing options. However, the cost of living in a fraternity or sorority house is generally comparable to living on campus. Students can expect a financial obligation of $1,400-$2,600 to join one of these chapters.
