We are proud that you have chosen to become a member of our growing UNT family! In order to assist you with your transition to UNT, all new students are required to attend orientation, a program designed to help students and families become acclimated to the university.During orientation, you will have the chance to meet with faculty and staff, meet your new classmates, connect with current students, learn about university resources, and receive academic advising in preparation for registering for classes. You will leave orientation understanding our university's spirit and traditions, as well as what to expect as you embark on your college experience.
To register for an orientation session, log in at my.unt.edu with your EUID and password. Once logged in, click Advising & Orientation, then Register for Orientation. Register early as sessions fill up quickly. For more details, please visit our How To Register page.
NOTE: Payment arrangements for the orientation fee must be made at the time of registering for the session to secure your spot.
The orientation fee includes orientation program expenses, UNT t-shirt, participant materials, administrative costs, and year-long orientation activities.

For the most up-to-date list of available orientation sessions, log on to your MyUNT student portal. Only sessions with open spaces will be available. Each orientation session has a registration capacity.
Please note, course registration for new students takes place during orientation. It is recommended that you attend the earliest orientation possible for optimal course availability.
Freshman Orientation is required of all new first time in college students, entering the university for the first time during the summer or fall term. Freshman Orientation is a two-day, overnight experience for new freshman to learn about campus resources, meet other new students, and get advised for their first semester at UNT.

WINGS International Student Orientation
International students on F & J visas must complete WINGS International Student Orientation in Canvas. This requirement must be completed as part of Document Check-In with International Student and Scholar Services.
Freshman Orientation (summer/fall)
Freshman Orientation is a two-day, overnight orientation experience. Students should plan to check in between 8-10 a.m. on the first day, stay overnight in the orientation residence hall (unless you are attending sessions 12 or 13), and stay on campus until 5 p.m. on the second day.

Parking
Parking information is included in your confirmation email sent the week leading up to your orientation date. For information about campus parking permits, please visit transportation.unt.edu.
Directions
Students driving to campus should refer to Google Maps for driving directions. The office of Orientation and Transition Programs does not provide shuttles to and from the airport.
Overnight Accommodations
An important part of the orientation experience is getting to stay the night in one of our campus residence halls! All Freshman Orientation participants are required to stay the night in the orientation residence hall during their scheduled session. Students will be assigned a roommate for their on-campus stay. We are unable to accommodate roommate requests for orientation. Students may complete the Housing Exemption and Accommodations Form below to request special accommodations for the overnight requirement. Additional information may be needed to best assist you, but we will work with you to make sure your experience is positive at orientation.

Permission to Treat Form
UNT students are required to submit a Permission to Treat Form if they are under the age of 18 at the start of the orientation. Please fill out this form and submit it to freshman@unt.edu or bring the form on the day of orientation.
Disability Accommodations
Students who intend to register with the Office of Disability Access (ODA) under the terms of ADA/504, or who request accommodations during their orientation session, should check the appropriate boxes on their orientation registration materials.
