Spring Orientation

Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of North Texas for Spring 2026!

In order to assist you with your transition to UNT, all new students are required to attend an orientation session, including transfer students. During orientation, you will have the chance to meet with faculty and staff, connect with current students, learn about university resources, and receive academic advising in preparation for registering for classes. You will leave orientation understanding our university's spirit and traditions, as well as what to expect as you embark on your college experience.

How to Register

To register for an orientation session, log in at my.unt.edu with your EUID and password. Once logged in, click Advising & Orientation, then Register for Orientation. Register early as sessions fill up quickly. For more details, please visit our How To Register page.

NOTE: Payment arrangements for the orientation fee must be made at the time of registering for the session to secure your spot.

Orientation Fee

The orientation fee includes orientation program expenses, UNT t-shirt, participant materials, administrative costs, and year-long orientation activities.

Spring Orientation Fee $63.00
Online Orientation Fee* $45.00

Additional orientation dates are available for students intending to take classes at the UNT at Frisco location or pursuing an online degree. 

For the most up-to-date list of available orientation sessions, log on to your MyUNT student portal. Only sessions with open spaces will be available. Each orientation session has a limited capacity for general registration and for major colleges.

  Please note that while we recommend that you plan to be at orientaiton until 5:00 p.m., some students may complete orientation earlier depending on the length of their academic advising appointment. 

Accommodations
Parking

Parking information is included in your confirmation email sent the week leading up to your orientation date. For information about parking permits for the spring semester, please visit transportation.unt.edu.

Directions

Students driving to campus should refer to Google Maps for driving directions. The office of Orientation and Transition Programs does not provide shuttles to and from the airport.

Disability Accommodations

Students who intend to register with the Office of Disability Access (ODA) under the terms of ADA/504, or who request accommodations during their orientation session, should check the appropriate boxes on their orientation registration materials.
