Online orientations are only offered for students pursuing degree programs where courses are all online or are transient/visiting students. Currently, the only programs that are online are the BAAS program in the New College, Coursera, and certain degrees in the College of Health and Public Service.
For all other students admitted for the spring 2021 semester, orientation will be in a virtual format. The virtual orientation is scheduled over the course of a week to allow you time to complete all requirements. Visit our freshman or transfer orientation pages for more information.
The cost to participate in an online program orientation is $45.00.
Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences
Students admitted for a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences may be eligible to participate in the online BAAS orientation. To check your eligibility, contact your advisor or visit baas.unt.edu.
Students admitted in the Coursera program may be eligible to complete their orientation requirement through the Coursera onboarding. To check your eligibility, contact your advisor or visit the UNT Coursera Website.
Health and Public Service
All Health and Public Service students enrolling in the 2021 Spring semester are required to participate in a standard virtual orientation. For more information, including the schedule and requirements, visit our Transfer Orientation webpage. Students can register at my.unt.edu.
Transient/visiting students are students attending UNT for a semester with plans to transfer those credits back to their home institution. All new transient/visiting students are expected to complete an online orientation module through Canvas. The module for spring transient/visiting students will open the morning of Spring Orientation 1. Transient/visiting students should log on to learn.unt.edu with their campus EUID and password to access the online orientation module. Course registration will not be available for transient/visiting students at a later date.
There is no fee to participate in the Transient/Visiting Student Orientation canvas course.
If you would like to attend a standard orientation, you can pay to register on your MyUNT portal at my.unt.edu.
