About

Online orientations are only offered for students pursuing degree programs where courses are all online or are transient/visiting students. Currently, the only programs that are online are those offered through the Coursera platform, certain degrees in the College of Health and Public Service, and the Integrative Studies degree in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.

For students not admitted for one of these programs, please visit our Undergraduate Orientation pages to see information about your orientation.

The cost to participate in an online program orientation $45.00.

Coursera Platform

Students admitted to a degree program in the Coursera platform will have their orientation hosted through the Coursera platform onboarding process. To check your eligibility, contact your advisor or visit the UNT Coursera Website.

The cost to participate in the online program orientation for the Coursera platform is $45.00. The fee will be posted to your student account and will be due at the beginning of the semester.

If you have paid for a standard university orientation, please contact our office at transfer@unt.edu for information about switching your orientation session. Your payment towards the university orientation may apply towards your Coursera orientation fee.

Health and Public Service

Students pursing a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or Rehabilitation Studies fully online may be eligible to participate in the online HPS orientation.
