Why were these WOMEN so important to the World?
The goal of my current project is to make portraits of “ Strong Women ” Who have successfully faced oppression and discouragement as they dared to live their life according to their dreams and ambitions.
I researched their lives, read a book, watched a documentary about their lives, so I started to sketch them, and expressed important aspects of their lives through symbols. My working process is from traditional to digital.
My exhibition theme is Strong Women Who dedicated their life to their jobs, who fought gender inequality and for the rights of women. I chose sixteen brave women to draw/paint their portraits using the symbols that express their stories. During my working process, I depict a specific type of flower representing women, particularly for the background. Because I believe the flowers are strong communication tools for every era.
Learning is a lifelong process, and we all, as individuals, no matter our age or background, continue to evolve intellectually and grow in perception and perspective. I am currently pursuing my Strong Women project, aiming to provide inspiration and motivation to the under-represented youth.
I have had great success with this project. It has led me to be noticed by representatives of legendary women in the suffrage movement. They have been pioneers in the fields of law, government, non-profit organizations, and more.
I genuinely believe that one can only be continuously successful if she/he unconditionally loves their profession. I am so passionate and in awe of what I do and continue to do every day.
