Talons Up!

Verb. A rallying cry such as a word or phrase, an event, or a belief which encourages people to unite and to act in support of a particular group or idea.

Talons Up! is a year-long recognition program encouraging registered student organizations (RSOs) to engage meaningfully with the campus community. Organizations earn points by participating in designated campus initiatives, developing student leaders, fostering collaboration, and making a positive impact both on and off campus.

RSOs may earn additional Talons Up! points by hosting/participating in service initiatives, supporting campus events, or partnering with other registered student organizations/campus departments. Eligible activities must be submitted through the Talons Up! Impact Submission Form (critieria included with form instructions) along with supporting documentation. Submissions are reviewed by Student Activities and are awarded at staff discretion.

  • Opportunities to develop leadership, planning, teamwork, and organization skills
  • An ability to become aware and participate in service-learning opportunities
