University Union Positions

Lead Custodian Evening

Facilities

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitation work within the University Union and surrounding outside areas of the building. Duties include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing and buffing floors; cleaning and dusting furniture and building surfaces; cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and fixtures; and etc.


  • Monday through Friday: 5pm - 2am

Lead Custodian Overnight

Facilities

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitation work within the University Union and surrounding outside areas of the building. Budget Officer

Union Administration

To perform routine to complex clerical and accounting functions. Responsible for: Union and other designated departments billing/accounts receivable; various reconciliations; payroll and hourly HR functions. Serve as back-up Accounting Specialist. Other office duties as assigned.

Event Support Cooridnator

Conference and Event Services

The Event Support Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, planning, and executing campus meetings and events, both indoors and outdoors. This position works closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure arrangements are made for catering, audio/visual services, alcohol services, event security, and parking.


Gateway/Coliseum Positions

Gateway/Coliseum Lead Custodian

Facilities

The Coliseum is a multiuse arena that is home to the North Texas Men’s and Women’s basketball teams. In addition to hosting all home games, the Coliseum hosts UNT Commencements, high school commencements, concerts, cheer and dance competitions and many other events.

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitation work within the Coliseum and/or Gateway Center. This position also performs various physically demanding semi-skilled manual tasks necessary to prepare for public events, such as erecting stages, tables, chairs and operation of audio/visual equipment.

Ability to work overtime, based on event needs.


  • Monday through Friday: 1pm - 10pm
  • Tuesday through Saturday: 1pm - 10pm
  • Sunday through Thursday: 6:30am - 3:30pm

Custodial Services Assistant Supervisor

Facilities

The Custodial Crew Leader will oversee custodial duties and responsibilities inside and outside the Coliseum and Gateway Center operating around a daily schedule as well as a special event schedule. The Custodial Crew Leader accomplishes a set of duties along with a team of facility workers. They are also responsible for the daily collection of all predefined recycling content.


  • Monday through Friday: 6:30am – 3:30pm

Event Support Specialist

Conference and Event Services

The Event Support Specialist oversees part-time staging assistants and is directly responsible for setting open lounge spaces, meeting rooms and large multi-function ballroom spaces; and performing minor custodial duties as needed. Tasks are in coordination with the event scheduling staff and supervised directly by the Assistant Director of Operations/Event Production. The event support specialist utilizes Event Management System and Computer Aided Design software to print daily event reports and event space designs to accomplish daily tasks.


  • Monday through Friday: 7am – 4pm, flex to Cover events

This position will work with clients in planning and executing all aspects of their events. This position will work with relevant event management and diagram software. This role will also coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to accomplish the work, including but not limited to dining, parking, athletics, and vendors. Discovery Park Positions

Student Services Coordinator

Student Services

The purpose of the Student Services Coordinator for the Center of Student Affairs at Discovery Park is to serve as an extension to the Division of Student Affairs to the Discovery Park Campus. The Student Services Coordinator will work closely with the Assistant Director to support students of the College of Engineering and College of Information; offer a series of student development programs that encompass social, leadership, and academic-related themes; program events and activities geared to meet the needs of the student population; and manage various facilities and/or physical spaces that help with student development (i.e. student lounge, student organization area, and gaming areas).
