Fine Arts Series Student Committee Applications are open for the 24-25 academic year.
Applications are due by Monday, September 2nd, 2024 at 11:59pm.
All student members of the Fine Arts Series (FAS) Committee must be registered as
full-time or part-time UNT students during their term and hold a 2.5 GPA or higher
when applying for service.
All members must be in good conduct standing with the university to serve on the FAS
Committee. If a member is not in good standing, that member will be immediately ineligible
to serve on the FAS Committee.
Student must be able to serve for the full academic year (Fall 2024-Spring 2025).
Participate in monthly committee meetings on the second Friday of every month; more
than 3 meetings missed will result in removal from the FAS committee
Volunteer to assist with at least one (1) event throughout the season
Contribute to discussions at committee meetings
Promote awareness of FAS across campus
Recruit FAS artist proposal submissions from students, faculty, and staff
Vote to help decide the lineup of artists for next season
Assist with additional tasks to support the Fine Arts Series
Gain insight and experience into event planning at the university level
Learn project evaluation and selection processes
Develop leadership abilities
Enhance communication tactics
Build organizational awareness
Strengthen budgeting skills
Network on and off-campus
The membership of this committee will be limited to no more than 22 voting members
and two non-voting, advisory members. The committee will be composed of the following
members:
Students
One undergraduate student appointed by the Student Government Associate (SGA)
Eight undergraduate students selected via competitive application
One graduate student appointed by the Graduate Student Council (GSC)
Two graduate students selected via competitive application
Faculty & Staff
Five faculty members appointed by the Faculty Senate
Five staff members appointed by the Staff Senate
