Before Making an Appointment
Fax the following documentation (Attn: ADHD Clinic):
  • Official ADHD Diagnosis
  • Prior Psychological Testing
  • Treatment Records for the Last 1-2 years (if applicable)
Additional Details
  • Records should include provider visit notes and medication history.
  • Records are reviewed within 10 business days and students will be notified of eligibility.
  • Additional records or updated testing may be required if documentation is insufficient.

Results
  • If an ADHD diagnosis is supported, fax testing results (Attn: ADHD Clinic).
  • If results do not support or are inconclusive for ADHD, additional psychological or psychiatric evaluation may be recommended.
Additional Details
  • Testing results are reviewed within 10 business days and students will be notified of eligibility.
  • Treatment options may include: medication, counseling, and/or referral to the Office of Disability Access (ODA)
  • Students with complex or co‑existing mental health conditions may be referred to a higher level of care.
  • Follow‑up visits are typically monthly for the first 3 months, then every other month.
  • Re‑evaluation may be required at the provider’s discretion.

Controlled ADHD Medications
Controlled ADHD Medications
Medications such as Adderall, Ritalin, and Vyvanse are controlled substances and are prescribed under strict guidelines.
  • One‑month supply only; no post‑dated prescriptions.
  • Electronic prescribing only (per Texas and federal law).
  • Lost or stolen prescriptions will not be replaced.
  • Texas Prescription Monitoring Program reviewed at each visit.
  • Urine drug testing required at the initial visit and at least annually (additional charge applies).
Substance Use Notice
  • Regular use of marijuana/THC or other non‑prescribed substances can interfere with effective ADHD treatment and may cause drug interactions.
  • A 6–8 week drug‑free period is recommended before neuropsychological testing to support accurate assessment and effective treatment.
