The Student Financial Aid & Scholarships Office assists students and families throughout the financial aid process. UNT offers financial assistance or merit-based scholarships for qualified students and a variety of other tools that families can use to make higher education possible. Student Accounting helps UNT students manage their student accounts, payments, and refunds. They handle billing and collection of tuition and fees, processing waivers, exemptions, veterans educational benefits, sponsored student billing, tuition benefit programs, refunds, departmental financial services, and tax reporting. Students are encouraged you to reach out to their college to review potential department specific emergency assistance programs.
The Student Money Management Center offers different programs and services to support students through difficult or unexpected financial situations and to educate on financial literacy. Students may contact them at (940) 369-7761 or money.management@unt.edu. There are certain requirements students are required to meet in order to be eligible for specific types of support but their general programming is available to all UNT students.
The Dean of Students' Intervention Services team has various ways to support students experiencing financial crisis or difficulty, including a strong referral network. Students are encouraged to reach out to the Dean of Students by completing a report online, emailing them at deanofstudents@unt.edu, calling them at (940) 565-2648, or visiting their website.
