Message to Faculty
Because faculty are essential to ensuring students with disabilities who are registered with the Office of Disability Access (ODA) receive accommodations in the academic environment, we wanted to provide information about how accommodations are provisioned at the University of North Texas. As a faculty member, it is important to have a working understanding of relevant legislation and how to facilitate accommodations in order to make course content accessible for qualified students with disabilities. This faculty guide provides you an overview of some of the services and accommodations provided by the ODA, ODA procedures, and strategies to make your course and classroom activities accessible, and the role of the ODA in supporting your efforts.
The ODA staff have put together a Faulty Resource Guide with information and forms that we hope will be useful and informative for you. Our goal is to assist you when working with this students with disabilities by providing you with information about best practices, as well as helping the university maintain compliance with federal disability guidelines
