The Registration Meeting is a great opportunity for the Office of Disability Access to get to know YOU! We are so excited to be a part of your UNT journey.

Once you have completed the Application in AIM and submitted documentation that meets our guidelines, we will schedule a Registration Meeting with you. This meeting is when we establish your accommodations at UNT and provide you with resources and support for your academic journey. Please remember that all communications to students will be sent to the student's UNT email. It will not be sent to a personal email.

Many students ask if there is anything they need to prepare for the Registration Meeting. The answer is --  not necessarily!

During the Registration Meeting, you and your Access Coordinator will discuss what brings you to our office and listen to your questions. The Access Coordinator will ask questions about your disability and learning style. The two of you can identify what barriers you face and what accommodation options can help minimize those barriers to ensure equal opportunity at the University of North Texas. Some students prefer to write down what accommodations they have used previously, what ways their disability impacts them, and what their concerns are with university classes to prepare for this meeting. However, that is not required. Accommodations can always be added later after the Registration Meeting so if you miss something, it can always be revisited. It's up to you!

Accommodations at the college level may differ from the accommodations you received in high school.
