In Fall 2019, the Office of Disability Access began a group to connect UNT students with blindness and visual impairments to foster community and support. This group was also designed to assist in academic and vocational development skills specifically for this population and to create educational and advocacy programming for the university community surrounding blindness. Since its conception, it has grown into an official student organization recognized on campus as the Blind and Visually Impaired Alliance (BVIA). This groups meets every two weeks (currently via Zoom). For more information, please contact Keeley Glogau (Staff Advisor) at Keeley.Glogau@unt.edu.
