Testing for COVID-19

UNT COVID Testing Program

The second phase of UNT's COVID Testing Program begins October 4, with random testing every two weeks for the remainder of the Fall semester. Two thousand students, faculty and staff will be randomly chosen to participate during each testing interval. Participation will be voluntary. We hope that because we have built a culture of testing, that those selected will respect this responsibility as a member of our caring community. We will be asking both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals to test. If your name is selected, you'll be notified by email. Please direct any questions to DSA.Response@unt.edu.

Testing available through the Student Health and Wellness Center

Setup Your NAVICA Account Prior to Arriving For BinaxNow Testing

BiNax walk-in testing requires having an account set up on the NAVICA mobile app. Please follow these steps to set up your NAVICA account prior to presenting for testing.

1. Go to your UNT email account and search for an email with the subject "NAVICA Invitation from UNT Student Health & Wellness Center for [your first name]" from "noreply@navica.abbott" and follow the directions in the email to download the blue NAVICA app and setup your NAVICA account.

2. After you create your account, you will need to confirm your email address. The NAVICA app will send a verification code from noreply@navica.abbott to the email account you used to set up your account. Enter that code into the app to complete the account creation process. You will receive an email with the subject "Welcome to NAVICA" when your account is created and verified.

3. To ensure we can report your test results for the mandatory testing requirement, we will need to connect your NAVICA account to UNT's account. In the "NAVICA Invitation" email, you will see a section titled 3. Connect. Follow the directions in that section to enter the personalized Connect Code into your NAVICA account.

If you need assistance with creating or connecting your NAVICA account, you can ask for assistance at the Chestnut Hall test site.
